This glossary defines the key ARGUS terms you’ll see across the dashboard and these docs. Incident A moment ARGUS flags because the activity on your cameras looks risky and worth your attention. Each incident has a risk score, a camera, a time, and a short summary. See Understanding incidents. Risk score A number from 0 to 100 that tells you how seriously to take an incident, grouped into High (70+), Medium (40–69), and Low (under 40). See Risk scores explained. Recipient A person who receives alerts. You can add recipients for SMS (a phone number) and email, and turn each one on or off. See Alerts & notifications. Agent The small ARGUS app that runs on an always-on computer in your store. It sees your cameras on the local network and streams them to ARGUS for analysis — no new hardware required. See Add a camera.
